Description

Based on Cryptic Studios' Star Trek Online MMORPG and various Star Trek TV series from TNG onwards.

Normal
- Day-to-day operations aboard a Federation Starfleet vessel
- Weapons and Shields are powered down
- Non-essential systems and services are permitted to run at full capacity
- Crew assume normal duty shift rotations (Alpha-Beta-Gamma-Delta)

Grey Mode
- Power and Resource conservation
- Ship running on Reserve Power
- Weapons and Shields are powered down
- Shuttlebay, Holodeck and Transporter use suspended
- Food replicator use eschewed in favor of Emergency Rations
- Non-essential items (toys, souvenirs) recycled into spare ship parts, repair tools, medicine
- Warp core bought to cold shutdown
- Life support at minimal levels, shut down on non-essential decks
- Skeleton crew assume only critical operations

Blue Alert
- Environmental hazards / Life support system disruption
- Docking, (Saucer) Separation or Landing procedures
- Non-essential systems and services suspended
- During landing sequence, crew reports to Code Blue stations to assist in relevant procedures

Yellow Alert
- Elevated awareness upon encountering unknown or potentially hostile situations
- Shields raised
- Weapons remain offline
- Crew shifts doubled up i.e. at least two shifts man stations concurrently

Red Alert
- Critical awareness upon entering combat, radiation exposure, security / intruder alert, massive systems failure, imminent Warp Core breach, evacuation order
- Weapons and Shields bought online
- Non-essential systems and services suspended
- All crew report to stations
